Farm Manager, WC Bradley Farms, Inc.
WC Bradley Farms is a 40,000+ acre farm complex located in western Georgia and eastern Alabama. The farm produces timber, peanuts, cotton, soybeans, & corn while providing a variety of recreational services. Resource Management Associates (RMA) has worked for the farm for over 10 years and has prepared two comprehensive strategic business plans for all farm operations, led a design team to develop and install a 700+ acre wetland restoration project, developed a commercial recreational lease program, assisted in real estate acquisitions, and is currently evaluating the recreation program. RMA has also led the development of a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) and has classified all land cover, farm fixed assets, and infrastructure. In addition, RMA developed, manages and provides staff training on-site and via a web “cloud” based GIS management support system where GIS products are available to farm staff and guests at any time, on the web, on desktops and any device, from wherever the users are located. Users can use these mapping products on their smart phones for real time navigation while on the farm and staff relies on them for improved efficiency and regular task execution. RMA’s work on the farm has increased revenues & operating efficiency while helping us chart a future course that allows us to better meet the needs of the farm owners.
It has been a real pleasure working with Resources Management Associates over the past 10 years. Their vast knowledge in forestry, farming and land management has been a real asset to me. Moving ahead I look forward to a bigger and brighter future at the Farms.
Thank you for all your support.

I am an absentee landowner. RMA has managed several family farms for me and my brother for almost 20 years. They have managed all of our forest and farm land, conducted both timber sales and reforestation, prepared and managed agricultural & recreational leases, monitored real estate assessments and maintained insurance coverage on the properties. When my mother died a few years ago we faced a considerable estate tax bill and a limited time for settlement. Steve quickly evaluated all of our properties, prioritized the farms, resolved some environmental issues and represented us in selling a few farms at a record sales price. RMA has and continues to coordinate the delivery of legal and financial services related to my real estate investments.
Ivy Farm, Commercial Plant Nursery
RMA has provided periodic strategic business planning and management services to our commercial nursery for more than 20 years. They provided guidance as I grew my business which reduced expenses and increased revenues. I believe in conducting our business in a manner which supports environment sustainability. In order to protect adjacent tidal wetlands and surface waters, RMA designed and guided the installation of a “closed system” water recycling system. All water used for irrigation and storm water runoff leaving our production area was captured before it left our property and returned to irrigation ponds for reuse. The stored water was then reapplied to our nursery crops, thereby protecting the environment and reducing our use of ground water resources. In order to create additional value for our nursery, Steve traveled to Richmond and advocated for the use of Virginia’s Agricultural Best Management Practices tax credit program to support this conservation practice. Steve’s efforts were successful leading to the installation of the first water recycling facility to use this tax credit program in Virginia. Over the years, RMA has been a good partner to the Ivy Farm.
I am an absentee landowner who inherited several farms I knew very little about, so I turned to RMA/RMRE for assistance. They completed an inventory of all properties and data was compiled that described all parcels, legal descriptions, assessment details, soils, acreages by land cover type, property boundaries and tracts needing surveying. Aerial photographs were developed that described all parcels and important features of each. This inventory has proven invaluable to better manage my real estate. Last year in response to several highway widening projects, portions of several of my properties were affected. RMRE negotiated with the state on my behalf to insure my residual land was protected and I received fair compensation for the required easements. RMA/RMRE has been there to support me and my family whenever I have had question or needed real estate services.

Resource Management Associates has provided management services to our family business for 30+ years. During this period if I encountered a difficult situation where I needed professional advice on almost any topic, I would call on RMA for support. I knew that regardless of the issue, RMA would be thorough and methodical in their analysis and would provide sound advice that would solve the problem. Some of the services provided included closure of underground petroleum tanks, permitting and monitoring for storm water management, surveying and designation of property boundaries, reforestation, and timber inventories.
When our family decided to close our sawmill and sell the facility, we retained Resource Management Real Estate to coordinate both a Phase 1 & 2 Environmental Assessment which Identified a few electrical transformers that contained PCB’s. RMA coordinated the disposal and recycling of these transformers following all local/state/federal requirements and obtained appropriate certifications required to sell the facility. They located and worked very closely with a prospective buyer to insure the property would meet their needs which resulted in a sale. It has been my experience that once RMA is given a job, regardless of the complexity they will not quit until they produce the best possible outcome.
